Happy Friday, friends! We made it through another week. This was definitely a week that I'm happy to have finished...because tomorrow we head to California! We are vacationing with my in-laws and I am pretty excited for the change of scene. Plus...Disneyland?! I'm
Anyways, I want to start doing weekend round ups. AKA a list of my favorite things from the past week. Rather than explaining, I'll just jump right in and you can see for yourself! (p.s. there are no affiliate links.)

SONG OF THE WEEK: "I Walk The Line" -Johnny Cash
My daughter has a serious thing for Johnny Cash. Any time a song of his plays, she stops what she is doing, starts dancing and breaks into a huge smile. Let's be real though, who doesn't like some Cash?

OUTFIT OF THE WEEK: (click photo for links)
I have been watching this shirt on Madewell for a couple of months, and it finally went on sale so I bought it! In anticipation of its arrival in the mail, here is how I would wear it.
I have become fairly minimal when it comes to style. Growing up near Seattle, plaid has always been a wardrobe staple, even after moving away. Throw on a short sleeve plaid tucked into some ripped high waisted jeans, add simple jewelry, sunglasses, and white Keds, and you are good to go! If it's too hot for black jeans, I'd switch them out for some denim shorts.
*side note- the only pieces of jewelry I wear every day are my thin gold wedding band and a silver knot ring I bought from a little old Asian grandpa in Pike Place Market. If you are ever there, seriously stop by Grandpa Sam's ring stand- the CUTEST minimal rings for cheaper than I've ever found them anywhere else! (like $10!)

READ OF THE WEEK: Life of Pi by Yann Martel
Better late than never, right? I saw the movie first, received the book for my birthday last year, and finally got around to reading it this week. I'm so glad I did- it's an entertaining, thought provoking read. Martel is an excellent story teller, and I really enjoyed the way he explained Pi's search for beliefs that rang true to him in various religions. I think too many people spend time searching for differences instead of commonalities between religions, so that aspect of the book was quite refreshing.

DREAM OF THE WEEK: Disneyland!
3 more days! Margot is still a little too young to fully enjoy the magic, but hopefully it will still be a fun experience for her. I know I'm looking forward to it, or at least to splash mountain and red wagon corn dogs!
